Question:

What can I do about my medications that cause itching?

I HAD A TRIPLE BYPASS IN OCTOBER 2009.  MY DOCTOR WANTS TO DO A STRESS TEST, TREADMILL AND IT'S ONLY BEEN FIVE MONTHS.  IS IT TOO SOON?  HE ALSO TRIED TO GET ME TO GO TO A CARDIAC REHAB PLACE ADVISING I WOULD BE HOOKED UP TO MONITORS SHOULD ANYTHING HAPPEN.  I'M SCARED TO DO THESE THINGS YET.  I WALK TWO TIMES A DAY AND AM GETTING STRONGER SO IS IT TOO SOON??

Unfortunately you do not state your age. And I do not have any medical information, such as the strength of your heart, if you have or had irregularities in your heart beat, etc, that justify your doctor's concerns.

If you are otherwise fairly healthy, you should be fully active by now. We usually do not do treadmill stress tests this early after surgery, unless you had or are having problems, and usually if needed we recommend rehabilitation soon after surgery, not at 5 months after surgery.
