Is it common to have elevated blood pressure after a heart cath?
Is it common to have a higher blood pressure than usual several days after a heart cath procedure?

Dear Roberta, Not necessarily. One possibility is that you may be more aware of your blood pressure and you have noticed it to be a bit out of control. Another possibility is that your medications may have been switched around. On the other hand, if you are in pain or under stress after the procedure, this could raise your blood pressure. Make a log of your blood pressure readings and bring it to your doctor's office for her/him to review along with a complete list of your current medications.
