Question:
I have Marfan Syndrome and mechanical valves. Is plastic surgery too risky for me?
I have Marfan Syndrome. I have 2 metal valves. My aorta and mitral and my aorta root have been replaced, and the next part of my aorta is now enlarged. I am female 41 yrs old and I am flat chested. I am looking into breast enlargement. Do you think it would be ok for me to go ahead with this or do you think it is too risky? Thanks for your help.

Your conditions should not be contraindications to the surgery you desire if your cardiac function is good. I assume you are on warfarin, and these levels should be adjusted before surgery.
