Question:
What is the best care for an infant born with a ventricular septal defect? My question is about a baby 11 months old. She is suffering from Ventricular Septal Defect and she is underweight. She is having reccurrent pneumonia attacks. What is the preferable advice? Kindly reply soon.

The best advice is to seek immediate consultation from a pediatric cardiologist because from the description of the symptoms, the baby will need surgical closure of the defect soon.
