Texas Heart Institute Library and Learning Resource Center maintains an extensive collection of materials (books, journals, audiovisual material) focused on cardiovascular disease. Contact the library to inquire about availability of material.

  • Surgical Books—6 pages arranged by subject subcategories from "Cardiac Surgery" to "Vascular and Endovascular Surgery." (PDF dated June 2009)

Collection
We maintain the most current and up-to-date collection of books, journals, and audiovisual material possible. The scope and breadth of our collection reflect not only the history of cardiovascular disease, but also the best of academic scholarship and cutting-edge trends in the study of cardiovascular disease.

  • Textbooks are arranged by subject in accordance with the National Library of Medicine's classification system.
  • Approximately 35 current journals are arranged alphabetically by title and selected recent issues are displayed just inside the library.
  • The audiovisual collection, arranged by media type, is also classified using the National Library of Medicine's system.  

Reference
A reference librarian is available to answer questions and provide assistance regarding collections available at the Texas Heart Institute.
