Research

The Texas Heart Institute researchers conduct clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of new devices, techniques and therapies for patients suffering from cardiovascular issues. Translational research across the Institute integrates discovery science, personalized medicine, patient-, and population-based research into a multidisciplinary framework to improve health in five areas: artificial heart and assist devices; regenerative medicine and gene therapy; drug discovery and development; electrophysiology; and cell therapy and clinical trials.
